Fabio Ashtar is a PhD candidate in statistics at the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia) researching network methods for the analysis of international trade. He completed his BA in Political Science and International Relations at the University of Naples "l'Orientale" (Italy) and holds a Joint MA in Southeastern European Studies from the universities of Graz (Austria) and Belgrade (Serbia).
His main interestes are international economics and economic policy, with a focus on heterodox models and computational methods (inc. network analysis,machine learning, and AI). Also, his work in the field of computational methods in the humanities has been financed by the Bulgarian ministry of Science and Education and the Holy See.
